Speaker Bio: Dr. Ya Zhang is an engineer at Plummer, with 15 years of specialized experience in drinking water and wastewater treatment. Her work bridges the gap between water systems and microbial science, reflecting a deep passion for safeguarding public health through innovative environmental solutions. Dr. Zhang has led and contributed to key projects, including the evaluation of Total Coliform detection methods, the development of novel pathogen detection techniques, and the study of anaerobic digesters' temporal changes. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Location:
