Conference Overview

The Texas Association of Environmental Professionals, in partnership with the Industry Council on the Environment, is pleased to announce the Environmental Challenges and Innovations Conference (ECIC) – Gulf Coast, taking place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn Houston Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

This one-day conference provides a local forum for environmental professionals in industry, government, consulting, and academia throughout the greater Houston and Gulf Coast region to exchange technical knowledge, discuss emerging environmental challenges, showcase innovative solutions, and network with their peers.

Note: Student registrations are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Lunch registrations are limited and may sell out before conference registration reaches capacity.

Call for Abstracts

Abstract Deadline Extended

Wednesday, July 15, 2026, 5:00 PM CDT

TAEP is requesting abstracts for 30-minute presentations for ECIC 2026. Discussion panels are also being considered as a new element of this year’s conference. If you are interested in leading or participating in a panel, please indicate that when submitting your abstract.

Abstract submissions are requested by Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to receive priority consideration by the ECIC Abstract Committee. Abstracts received after the deadline may still be considered, depending on program needs and available presentation opportunities, until the conference agenda is finalized.
